PhD student duties
In addition to the obligations described in the rules of the curricular PhD, doctoral students should participate and contribute to the life of the Mathematics Department and take part, as much as possible, in the joint activities of the two Departments involved in the PhD. In particular, it is expected by the students a regular participation in courses and seminars, as well as an active contribution to the organization of seminar series, aimed to other graduate students, students of the Master and the entire Department.Moreover, as regards in particular the doctoral students of the Department of Mathematics and Applications of the University of Milan Bicocca, like all students at the same university they are called to play up to 40 hours of unpaid tutoring. In the current academic year, those hours of tutoring are carried out in the form of mathematics help-desk that the PhD students offer to students of the School of Science.
